Your own keys, your own cloud
Why your own keys
AQL Cloud never sells you AI model usage. Your agents use your own account with your AI provider, so you pay the provider directly, at their published rates.
What “your own keys” means
An AI provider key is the code from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google that lets software use their AI models on your account. You paste it into AQL Cloud once. Your agents use it whenever they think, and your provider bills you for that usage directly.
Your existing agreement with your AI provider, including its data-processing terms, still applies, because the provider is working for you, not for us.
What you pay, and to whom
AQL Cloud
A flat platform fee for your plan. It covers agents, people, runs and storage, not AI model usage.

AI model usage at their published rates, on your own invoice from them.
We never mark up AI model usage, resell it, or turn it into credits. There are no credits to run out of.
How we look after your key
Every point below is backed by code and tests you can read, see Security.
Checked before it's saved
We make a small real call to your AI provider. A key that doesn't work is not stored.
Stored encrypted
Each key is encrypted with a key of its own and tied to your workspace, so it can't be used anywhere else.
Never shown again
After you save it, you only see the last 4 characters. No part of AQL Cloud sends it back.
Remove it any time
Removing a key deletes the encrypted copy straight away, and agents stop using it until you add a new one.
See what your agents use
The Usage page in AQL Cloud shows the text your agents read and wrote for each AI model, for your information. Your provider's invoice is the bill for that usage; AQL Cloud's own charges are shown separately.
